Jocelyn Nunez Dr. Fussell ENGL 1302-16410 January 23, 2012 Summary/Response Journal Entry 1 In William Blakes poem, London, the claim is that the world is not perfect and sight go through problems every day. This claim includes young children as lamp chimney sweepers working for money and sicknesss wondering around the city. Blake states the venereal disease strikes newborn infants who are born into the world give because of their evokes survivals. Also, everyone he meets he sees a flunk as he states, And mark in every plaque I meet (line3), marks of weakness, marks of woe (line4). Blake uses inherent private experience and evidence in dramatic context to asseverate his audience the state of the city. He shows several instances, such as The mind-forgd manacles I hear (line8), to tell the endorser what he has mortalally experienced these events. Also, in every Infants cry of fear (line 6) Blake endures dramatic context placing a unforgiving setti ng to the poem. Blake lists how chimney sweepers go through and how dangerous it is for them for their future, How the unseasoned Harlots curse (line 14). On the other hand, he mentions soldiers struggling pain with their families And the hapless Soldiers breathe (line11), and thinking that they cant do anything about it.

The primordial warrant of this poem is that anything can be preventable and controlled. The soul that is in charge of the city should do something about the postal service instead of causing harm. On one of his examples was that the parents had the choice to form their child wit h an infected disease. Everyone has a choi! ce and if wad would delineate wise decisions it would be a better place.
